​What is Permanent Jewelry?
Permanent Jewelry is a CUSTOM fit anklet, necklace, or bracelet that doesn't have a typical clasp for easy removal. Instead, the jewelry is welded together so it stays on you until you are ready to have it removed! Everything is completely custom to your liking, from choosing your perfect chain (Gold filled, Sterling Silver, Rose Gold, or Solid Gold), the length and charms if you choose to add them on.

Will the jewelry tarnish or change color?
Our gold jewelry is gold filled, meaning the coating is 100x thicker than gold plated. Our silver is .925 sterling silver which can temporarily tarnish under certain conditions such as natural hot springs, chlorine, sulfur, bleach, and other strong chemicals. A silver cleaning wipe will take it right off or softly scrub with a soft bristled toothbrush and soapy water.
How long will it last?​
Expect about 5 years with proper care.​
How do I care for my jewelry?​

What if I need to remove my jewelry for an MRI or surgery?​
Cut at the jump ring (where we welded) with scissors or wire cutters or you can always come in and we can remove it! Save your jewelry and we will re-weld it when you are ready.
What if my jewelry breaks?​
Breaks are handled on a case-by-case basis. Breaks at the weld will be repaired at no cost. Breaks in the chain will be charged a repair fee or replacement fee. This jewelry is durable but not indestructible.
Do you take walk-ins?​
Unfortunately, with all the other services we offer Slippery When Waxed is by appointment only.
What type of chains do you offer?​
Right now, we stock .925 Sterling Silver and 14k Gold Filled. Rose Gold and Solid Gold are available with pre order.
Does it hurt? Is it safe?​
Doesn't hurt at all! No heat or spark touches or gets close to your skin. You will be asked to wear welding glasses during the actual welding process.
How long does it take?​
All permanent jewelry appointments are reserved for 30 minutes, this gives you plenty of time to pick out your perfect chains and charms.
Will I set off metal detectors?​
No, our jewelry is so dainty it won't trigger the alarm.
